When Rosenior and former Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca said Palmer is the best player on this Chelsea team, performances like this make it hard to disagree. Palmer, who has been out for most of the season, was Chelsea’s star as they cut through Wolves like a pack to get all three points.

Palmer, in just 84 games, has now become Chelsea’s highest goalscorer, surpassing Frank Lampard, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, and Didier Drogba, who have all scored three hat-tricks for Chelsea. Palmer’s 4th hattrick takes him level on 2nd with Son for the most PL hattricks since 2020, behind Haaland with 8.

Palmer’s last goal to complete his hat-trick was also his first open play goals in almost a year. For many Chelsea fans, the Englishman is back and firing on all cylinders and he could be giving England manager Thomas Tuchel a lot to think about regarding his World Cup squad.
