The Champions League has witnessed its fair share of “miracles,” but what unfolded at the San Siro transcends the ordinary.
Bodo/Glimt, a club from a tiny Norwegian town, have scripted one of the most improbable chapters in football history by knocking out last year’s finalists and current Serie A leaders, Inter Milan.
Despite entering the match as massive underdogs, the visitors showed no fear under the bright lights of the iconic Italian stadium, securing a place in the Round of 16.
The Norwegian side arrived in Milan carrying a surprising 3-1 lead from the first leg, a result many dismissed as a fluke influenced by the freezing Arctic conditions of their home turf. The first half was a masterclass in defensive discipline from the visitors.
