Chelsea FC is set to open talks with Bayern Munich over a summer deal for promising holding midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović.

Chelsea are interested in adding Pavlović to their squad, with the 21-year-old being seen as a perfect fit for their midfield.

The London club is expected to open discussions with Bayern in the coming weeks, although negotiations may be challenging.

Bayern have previously indicated that they won’t sell Pavlović under any circumstances, with the midfielder set to become a key player alongside Joshua Kimmich. Pavlović has expressed his desire to represent Bayern for the rest of his career.

Chelsea have several midfield options, including Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Andrey Santos, and Enzo Fernandez. However, the Blues are reportedly looking to add another holding midfielder to their squad.

Manchester City are also monitoring Pavlović’s situation, with the midfielder attracting interest from several top clubs.

Bayern are likely to prioritize retaining Pavlović, given Leon Goretzka’s impending departure. Should Goretzka leave, it would be difficult to see a possibility where Bayern Munich let Pavlović go.
