Chelsea Supports Mykhailo Mudryk Amid Doping Charge

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca confirms the club’s support for Mykhailo Mudryk after the winger was charged by the FA with breaching doping regulations.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that the club continues to support winger Mykhailo Mudryk after he was charged by the Football Association with breaching doping regulations.

Mudryk tested positive for a banned substance last year and was provisionally suspended, but he denies any wrongdoing.

Maresca spoke to Mudryk during the Conference League celebrations in Poland last month and described him as being “quite good” at the time. However, the Ukrainian winger has since lost his squad number, with Cole Palmer set to wear the No. 10 shirt next season.

“We will have contact with him,” Maresca said, adding that he hadn’t spoken to Mudryk since their conversation in Poland and hadn’t seen the news about the charge until it was communicated to him.

The club appears to be standing by Mudryk as he navigates the doping allegations.
