Chelsea have named their asking price for Raheem Sterling, with the winger reportedly preferring to sign for a Premier League club, particularly one in London, over the Saudi Pro League or MLS.

Chelsea are looking to offload Raheem Sterling, with the Blues setting a price tag of £20m on the 30-year-old winger.

Sterling’s future at Chelsea seems uncertain, given his lack of playing time under new manager Enzo Maresca. The winger’s £325,000-a-week wages are likely to be a major obstacle in any potential transfer, with few clubs able to match his salary demand.

Sterling reportedly has a preference for signing with a Premier League club, particularly one in London, where his family is settled. This could make Crystal Palace, Tottenham, Brentford, Fulham, or West Ham potential suitors.

However, his poor form in the 2024/25 campaign may deter some clubs from pursuing him. Sterling’s loan spell at Arsenal was underwhelming, with the winger scoring just one goal in 28 appearances across all competitions.

The lack of talks between Chelsea and Sterling suggests that the winger is waiting to negotiate a compensation package before securing a permanent transfer. This could be a challenge, given his high salary demands. Chelsea’s willingness to sell Sterling for £20m, less than half what they paid Manchester City for him three years ago, indicates that the Blues are eager to offload the player.

Sterling’s future remains uncertain, with the winger’s options limited by his salary demands and Chelsea’s asking price. While he may prefer to sign for a Premier League club, his poor form and high wages may make it difficult for him to find a new suitor.
