Chelsea has reportedly offered Raheem Sterling to Napoli as the club seeks a permanent exit for the winger, with Bayer Leverkusen also considering signing him.
Chelsea are looking to offload Raheem Sterling in a permanent deal, having deemed him surplus to requirements under new boss Enzo Maresca.
The 30-year-old winger spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Arsenal, where he struggled to make an impact, managing just one goal and five assists in 28 appearances. Despite having two years left on his contract, Chelsea is keen to sell Sterling this summer.
Napoli, the Italian champions, have been presented with the opportunity to sign Sterling. Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to recruit another winger to strengthen his squad. Napoli are currently assessing their options, with Sterling just one of several targets being considered.
The club is also looking at Nottingham Forest’s Dan Ndoye and Real Sociedad’s Take Kubo.
Bayer Leverkusen is another club considering signing Sterling. The German side has been weighing up whether to step up their interest in the winger. Chelsea is looking to secure a permanent deal for Sterling, rather than another loan departure.
The Blues are reportedly seeking £20m for the winger, but potential suitors may look to negotiate a lower fee given Sterling’s uncertain form.
Sterling’s future is uncertain, with doubts over whether he can rediscover his best form. Despite this, Chelsea is desperate to sell him this summer, which may give potential buyers leverage to negotiate a lower fee. The transfer window closes on September 1, and Chelsea will be keen to finalize a deal before then.
