Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, with a potential transfer fee of £80 million.

Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign Aston Villa’s breakout star Morgan Rogers. Rogers joined Aston Villa last winter and is under contract until 2030, but a move could be on the cards if a significant offer is made.

The young forward dazzled last season and continues to impress since the start of this campaign, catching the eye of several top European clubs.

The English midfielder had 14 goals and 15 assists in 54 matches across all competitions last season.

Chelsea see Rogers as a future attacking asset capable of injecting pace and creativity into their forward line. The Blues have been monitoring his development and are reportedly keen on both his short-term impact and long-term potential.

According to reports, Aston Villa is looking for a transfer fee of around £80 million for Rogers, a figure that tests the interest and financial muscle of both Premier League giants and top European sides.

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to meet this asking price, with Enzo Maresca, the Chelsea manager, believed to be a huge admirer of the young forward.

Other clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain, have also been linked with Rogers, but Chelsea appears to be in the strongest position to convince both the player and his club.
