Chelsea has reportedly joined Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund’s talented midfielder, Felix Nmecha.
Nmecha, who joined Dortmund from Wolfsburg in 2023, has established himself as a key player in the team’s midfield. His versatility, composure on the ball, and ability to unlock defenses with incisive passes have made him a desirable asset.
Dortmund, however, are keen to retain Nmecha’s services and plans to initiate talks on a contract extension beyond 2028 once the winter transfer window closes. The club values Nmecha highly, with a price tag of around €60 million (£52m) reportedly attached to him.
When asked about his future, Nmecha remained tight-lipped, stating, “I’m not going to say right now whether I want to play in the Premier League or not.”
The interest in Nmecha is not limited to Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham. Other Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United, have also been monitoring his situation.
With Nmecha’s contract running until 2028, Dortmund is likely to push for a new deal to keep him at the club, but the lure of the Premier League could prove too strong to resist.
