Chelsea are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup after putting seven past Port Vale in the quarter-final.

Chelsea ended a four-game winning streak as they demolished Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter-final.

Chelsea started the game firing on all cylinders as they got on the scoresheet in the second minute with a goal from Hato. Port Vale couldn’t clear their lines from a corner and Hato was on hand to give Chelsea an early lead.

Port Vale seemed to grow into the game as they limited Chelsea to half-chances and mostly rotated their passes. Although Port Vale kept Chelsea quiet for a while, the Blues found the back of the net in the 25th minute with a sublime goal from Joao Pedro.

To close out the half, Chelsea made it 3-0 as a beautiful passage of play saw Chelsea attack the Port Vale box, and although the keeper denied Malo Gusto from close range, Cole Palmer struck the ball on Gabriel to extend Chelsea’s lead.

In the second half, Chelsea turned up the heat, and they put four past Port Vale to make it 7 at full-time. Tosin headed in from close range, Santos headed home from a corner, Estevao finally got his goal after hitting the bar twice, while Garnacho ended the scoring with a penalty in the dying minutes of the game.

It was a statement win for Chelsea, given their poor performance and off-field issues. This win will serve as a boost for the squad as they face Manchester City next week in the Premier League.
