Chelsea Floored in Munich As Kane Powers Bayern to Victory

Chelsea fans will be heavily disappointed as their defense collapsed under pressure from Bayern.

It was the Harry Kane show in Munich as he sunk Chelsea upon their return to the UCL after two years. It wasn’t the return to the UCL Chelsea had hoped for.

Chelsea started the game on a strong note, piling pressure on Bayern and showing that they were here to compete but all that pressure led to nothing as a mistake of their own put them behind in the game.

Chalobah was unlucky in the 20th minute as he put the ball into his own net after a cross from Michael Olise. Chelsea had barely recovered from that goal; they added more misery to their pain as Caicedo fouled Kane in the box and gave away a penalty. Harry Kane stepped up and calmly dispatched the penalty.

Just two minutes after Chelsea were back in the game as Cole Palmer scored to make it 2-1 but that was the end of scoring for the Blues. They failed to attack the game, create chances and let Bayern dictate play.

To sum up their performance, Gusto gave the ball away, leading to Harry Kane’s second goal of the night and Bayern’s third. There was a gulf in experience between both sides and Chelsea have been dealt a huge lesson by the Bundesliga giants.
