The Brazilian would turn provider in the 23rd minute as he assisted Pedro Neto to put Chelsea in front. From that moment, it was all Chelsea. The Blues were on a scoring spree.
Enzo Fernandez added another goal in the 34th minute after a beautiful passage of play to make it 3-1 to Chelsea at halftime.
In the second half, the Blues picked up where they left off. Two poorly defended corners gave Caicedo and Chalobah a chance to get their names on the scoresheet, rounding up a 5-1 victory for Chelsea.
For West Ham fans, this is a day to forget but for Chelsea fans, the season has just begun.
