Can Chelsea Contend for the Title?

In the first half of the 2024/25 season, Chelsea were on the heels of Premier League champions Liverpool. They eventually fell off and finished fourth but over the course of the season and in summer transfers, they have corrected their mistakes.

The Blues have been impressive in the preseason and Club World Cup. Coming into the 2025/26 season, they look like worthy title contenders and it’ll be interesting to see if they can pull off a Premier League winning campaign with this squad.

A Competitive Squad

After spending over £1 billion in signings, Chelsea seem to have gotten it right. The current players have shown that they can compete at the highest level. The new signings have been strategic and most signings have hit the ground running with João Pedro and Liam Delap scoring in the Club World Cup and pre-season. Chelsea’s squad looks complete and there’s competition in almost every position. This could push the players to a new level both individually and collectively.

Season Prediction

2nd. Although Chelsea have the squad to compete for the title, it just seems that Liverpool will edge them in this one and defend the title.
