Manager Hansi Flick hails “perfect result” that takes team back to top of the table
Barcelona have proved they are a top team after arresting their defeats in the last two games with a win over Levante, according to full-back Joao Cancelo.
Hansi Flick’s side lost against Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey last week, before losing to Girona in La Liga. But on Sunday they returned to the top of La Liga after capitalising on Real Madrid’s slip up.
“The win was important after the two games we lost and we didn’t play well, but in the end football always gives you the opportunity to respond and the big teams always do it, and that’s what we did today,” Cancelo said.
“Now we have three important points and are back at the top of the table, and we have to keep working hard.”

Barcelona manager Flick said: “In the beginning we needed a little bit of time to come into the match, but it’s nornal after two defeats. But at the end the team made it good. Three-nil is a perfect result and we are back at the top of the table.
“We knew about the result yesterday and that we had a big chance to return to the top of the table and we did.”
