PSG are now in the UCL final and are so close to getting their first ever UCL trophy.
If there’s one thing the stakeholders at PSG desire more than anything, it’s winning the Champions League. They have searched for it for a long time, and they have prepared the club to always compete at the highest level of European Football.
PSG have always been known to be a star-studded team. They’ve had players like Okocha, Ronaldinho and Beckham in the past. In recent years, we’ve seen players like Neymar, Veratti, Buffon and Di Maria play in this team.
When they had Neymar, Mbappe and Messi leading their frontline, you would’ve thought they would go on to win the Champions.
In 2020, they came close after losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich in the finals. With Messi and Di Maria in the squad in 2022, you would’ve thought they had a better chance, but it just didn’t happen for them.
Now in 2025, PSG are in the finals again, and it begs the question. Will they claim the title this time? Can they actually go all the way?
Well, they have what it takes to actually win the UCL this time. Their frontline is the deadliest in world football right now, with Kvaratskhelia and Dembele, a potential Ballon d’Or winner, leading the front while Doue and Bracola play a supporting role.
PSG are also a team of beaters, they have beaten four of the top six Premier League teams in their wake (Manchester City in the League phase, Liverpool in the round of 16, Aston Villa in the quarter finals and Arsenal in the semis). They have shown that they can score and run over their opponents even when it looks like their backs are against the wall.
Coming into this final, they are strong favourites to win.
They have played impressively throughout the campaign and have dug deep against opponents that made them feel like underdogs.
So, concerning the question: can PSG finally break their UCL curse? The answer is yes. Yes, they can.
