Arsenal’s Riccardo Calafiori is enjoying his time at the club, praising the team’s atmosphere and fan culture after being named Player of the Month for August.

Riccardo Calafiori has been making waves at Arsenal since his arrival last summer, and the Italian defender is relishing every moment of his time at the Emirates.

After being named the club’s Player of the Month for August, Calafiori expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support he has received from the team and fans.

The 23-year-old has established himself as Mikel Arteta’s first-choice left-back, starting all of Arsenal’s league fixtures so far. Calafiori’s consistency and composure have been key to Arsenal’s solid defensive record, while his ability to push forward has also caught the eye. He believes that playing in the Premier League is a dream come true, and he wants to enjoy the experience and show what he can do consistently.

Calafiori has also spoken about the differences between playing in Italy and England, particularly when it comes to fan culture. He noted that while Italian fans sing non-stop throughout the match, English fans may sing less, but the whole stadium is involved, creating an electric atmosphere. “In England, it’s different, maybe they sing less, but the whole stadium is involved,” he said. “When you score or make a big tackle, the energy hits you straight away.”

The Italian defender has settled in well at Arsenal, praising the team’s atmosphere and dressing room. He described the squad as “a group of friends,” which has made his adaptation to the team much easier. Calafiori believes this season is his chance to show fans more of his personality on the pitch. “Last season, they only saw a little of what I can do,” he said. “I want to show much more this year.”

Calafiori’s confidence is growing both on and off the pitch. He admitted that his move to London has encouraged him to explore fashion and self-expression, which he sees as part of modern football culture. However, his main focus remains on cementing his place in Arteta’s side. “I just want to keep improving and help the team,” he said. “If I can stay fit, I know I can give a lot more.”

Calafiori won Arsenal’s Player of the Month award for August after collecting  52% of the vote, beating out other top players like Jurrien Timber and Martin Zubimendi.
