The £71m signing from Brentford has yet to feature for United since arriving at Old Trafford
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Bryan Mbeumo will make his first appearance for the club in Sunday’s friendly against Everton in Atlanta.
The £71m signing from Brentford has yet to feature for United since arriving at Old Trafford earlier this month, but is now set to play a part in the final match of the club’s pre-season tour of the US.
Mbeumo joined United on the back of a standout Premier League campaign with Brentford, where he scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in 38 appearances.
He was one of the most productive wide forwards in the league last season and had attracted interest from several top clubs before United completed the deal last month.
United have faced West Ham and Bournemouth in the US, winning both games.
The club’s next and final game is against Everton and Amorim confirmed that Mbeumo would be involved.
“He is going to play,” said Amorim. “I’m really excited to see him on the pitch and to see what he can bring to the team.”
