Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur played out a goalless draw at the Gtech Stadium, with both teams failing to create much excitement.

Thomas Frank’s return to his former club ended in disappointment, with Brentford still waiting for a first home win against Spurs in five attempts.

The match was marked by a lack of quality chances, with Brentford having the majority of possession but failing to trouble Guglielmo Vicario. Kevin Schade’s goal was ruled out for offside, and Spurs’ best chance came when Archie Gray’s header was blocked, and Richarlison fired wide.

The second half saw some signs of life, with Mohammed Kudus and Keane Lewis-Potter getting chances, but neither team could find the back of the net. The match ultimately ended in a stalemate, with both teams settling for a point.

Brentford moves up to ninth with the point, while Tottenham leapfrog Newcastle United into 12th. The result is a disappointment for Spurs, who have struggled domestically this season.

Thomas Frank will be pleased with his team’s defensive performance, keeping consecutive Premier League clean sheets for the first time since August. However, the Bees will be frustrated at not getting all three points at home.
