Borussia Dortmund outline two key conditions for Jadon Sancho’s possible return
Borussia Dortmund have reportedly outlined two major conditions that must be met if Jadon Sancho is to return to the club this summer.
The winger, whose contract with Manchester United is set to expire, has been linked with a third spell at Dortmund, where he previously enjoyed some of the best form of his career. According to reports, Dortmund’s hierarchy would first require Sancho to forgo any signing-on fee, expecting what has been described as great modesty from the player.
The second condition involves a substantial reduction in salary, with the Bundesliga side reportedly prepared to offer around €5 million per year, excluding performance-related bonuses.
Sancho, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa, would need to accept these financial terms for negotiations to progress. Should he agree, a return to Signal Iduna Park could become a realistic possibility.
Former Dortmund star Marco Reus has also weighed in on the speculation, advising Sancho to choose the environment where he feels most comfortable in order to rediscover his best form. Reus suggested that a reunion with Dortmund could benefit both parties, highlighting Sancho’s unique ability to influence matches through intelligent decision-making and creativity in tight spaces.
Despite the winger’s recent struggles in England, Reus remains confident that Sancho still has the quality to make a strong impact, noting his knack for drawing defenders and creating opportunities for teammates if he returns to Dortmund.
