Bologna has reached the Supercoppa Italiana final, defeating Inter Milan 3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at King Saud University Stadium.

Inter took the lead early, with Marcus Thuram scoring a stunning volley in the 2nd minute

Bologna equalized just before halftime, with Riccardo Orsolini converting a penalty awarded after a VAR check for handball. The game was intense, with both teams creating chances, but neither could find a winner.

The second half saw more pressure on Bologna’s defense, but Federico Ravaglia made crucial saves to keep his team in the game. Inter had chances, including a Lautaro Martínez shot and an Alessandro Bastoni header, but Bologna held on.

As the game headed to penalties, Inter looked the more likely winners, but Ravaglia’s heroics proved decisive. Ciro Immobile scored the winning penalty, sending Bologna to the final.

Bologna’s victory sets up a Supercoppa Italiana final against Napoli, who defeated AC Milan 2-0 in their semifinal. The final takes place on Monday, December 22.
