Bayern Munich staged an incredible comeback to beat Freiburg 6-2, with Michael Olise at the heart of the action. The visitors had taken a 2-0 lead within the first 17 minutes, with Yuito Suzuki scoring from close range and Johan Manzambi heading home Jan-Niklas Beste’s corner.

However, Bayern responded superbly, with teenager Lennart Karl scoring in the 22nd minute from Olise’s pass, and Olise himself leveling with a fierce finish in first-half injury-time.

The French winger’s influence was immense, and he continued to shine in the second half, setting up Dayot Upamecano’s goal and assisting Nicolas Jackson’s strike.

Olise’s second goal came in the 84th minute, as he drove at the Freiburg defense and curled into the far corner. The result leaves Bayern eight points clear of second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, with Freiburg remaining 10th in the standings.

Vincent Kompany’s side will now focus on their Champions League clash with Arsenal on Wednesday, with both teams having a perfect record of four wins so far in the league phase of the competition.

Olise in full flow at Bayern

Olise’s performance was a masterclass, and he was directly involved in five of Bayern’s six goals. He scored twice and provided three assists, making him the youngest Bayern player to achieve this feat in a Bundesliga match.

The win marks Bayern’s 10th victory in their first 11 games, and they are looking strong at the top of the table.
