Bayern Munich has agreed to a new £70.5m deal to sign Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson on loan with an obligation to buy.

Bayern Munich has reached a new agreement with Chelsea to sign Nicolas Jackson on loan with an obligation to buy. The deal is worth £70.5m (€81.5m), with Bayern paying an increased loan fee of £14.25m (€16.4m) and an obligation to buy the player for £56.25m (€65m).

The previous deal, which Chelsea pulled out of due to Liam Delap’s injury, included an option to make the move permanent. However, Chelsea wanted the deal to include an obligation to buy.

Jackson’s agent, Ali Barat, had confirmed that his team would do “everything” to secure the move, and it seems their efforts have paid off. Despite Chelsea’s initial decision to recall Jackson, Bayern’s persistence has led to this new agreement.

The Senegalese forward has been a key target for Bayern, who are looking to bolster their attacking options. With Harry Kane’s potential longevity in question, Jackson’s signing would provide a significant boost to the team’s squad.
