Bayern Munich confirm discussions are underway to extend Harry Kane’s contract as the striker continues his prolific form.
Bayern Munich have confirmed they are in active discussions with Harry Kane over a possible new contract, underlining the club’s desire to secure the long-term future of their star striker. Kane, who joined the German champions in 2023, is currently tied to a contract that runs until 2027.
Sporting director Max Eberl revealed on Monday that talks are ongoing, acknowledging that while no final decision has been made, both parties are engaged in dialogue about the next steps.
Club chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen echoed Eberl’s comments, stressing that there is no urgency from the club’s perspective as Kane is settled both on and off the pitch in Munich.
The England captain ended his long wait for a major team trophy in 2025 when Bayern lifted the Bundesliga title, a landmark moment in his illustrious career.
Bayern are once again dominating domestically this season, sitting eight points clear at the top of the Bundesliga while also holding second place in the expanded Champions League league table.
Kane’s form has been nothing short of exceptional, with 119 goals and 30 assists in 126 appearances for Bayern. This season alone, he has netted 34 times in 30 games and is on course to challenge Robert Lewandowski’s single-season Bundesliga record of 41 goals.
