Bayern Munich secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Hoffenheim, with Harry Kane scoring a hat-trick to maintain their perfect start to the Bundesliga season.
Bayern Munich continued their impressive start to the Bundesliga season with a 4-1 win over Hoffenheim, thanks to Harry Kane’s second hat-trick of the season. The English striker scored his team’s first goal before halftime and then converted two penalties in the second half to seal the victory.
The match got off to a lively start, with Hoffenheim creating some early chances despite holding just 17% possession in the first 15 minutes. Fisnik Asllani had a promising opportunity to open the scoring but hit the post with his shot. Bayern’s Manuel Neuer made a rare mistake, giving away the ball to Asllani, but the Hoffenheim striker couldn’t capitalise on the opportunity.
Kane broke the deadlock before halftime, scoring a clinical finish from a corner kick delivered by Lennart Karl. Hoffenheim pushed hard for an equaliser but couldn’t find the back of the net before the break. Bayern dominated possession in the first half, holding 61% of the ball and completing 88% of their passes.
The second half saw Bayern assert their dominance even further. Kane doubled the lead with a penalty kick just after halftime, and Hoffenheim’s hopes of a comeback were all but extinguished. Kane completed his hat-trick with another penalty in the 77th minute, lifting the ball over Oliver Baumann.
Hoffenheim managed to get on the scoreboard in the final 10 minutes of the match when Vladimír Coufal curled a free kick into the net. However, Serge Gnabry sealed the win for Bayern with a stoppage-time strike, tapping in the rebound of a Harry Kane shot.
The victory maintains Bayern’s perfect start to the season, with 12 points from 12. They will look to continue their winning streak when they host Werder Bremen at the Allianz Arena on Friday. Hoffenheim, on the other hand, will visit SC Freiburg next Sunday.
