Bayern Munich now have stiff competition for Murillo as Chelsea have entered the race with a strong proposal.

Bayern Munich’s plans to sign Nottingham Forest’s defender Murillo might be more complicated than initially thought. According to reports, Chelsea has joined the race to sign the Brazilian centre-half, and the English club is confident about capturing his signature.

Murillo has been impressive in the Premier League, and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed. Nottingham Forest gave him a new contract in January, partly due to interest from Real Madrid, but the club might be willing to sell if the offer is right.

Bayern Munich is reportedly willing to pay around £43.5 million to secure Murillo’s services.

Chelsea’s interest in Murillo is part of their plans to restructure their defense entirely. The Blues believe Murillo’s talent and potential would be a great fit for their team. They are reportedly confident that they can meet Nottingham Forest’s valuation and secure Murillo’s signature.

Bayern are thinking of signing Murillo as contract talks with Upamecano continue to delay. Although the German giants believe they can get Upamecano to sign a new deal, they are monitoring the situation with Murillo who might serve as the backup option.
