Bayern Munich thrashed Cypriot champions Pafos 5-1, extending their winning streak to nine matches in all competitions, with Harry Kane scoring twice.

Bayern Munich continued their impressive start to the season with a resounding 5-1 away victory over Pafos FC in the Champions League.

The German giants dominated the match, creating numerous chances and maintaining their 100% record. Harry Kane was instrumental in Bayern’s win, scoring twice, including a goal in the 15th minute where he guided the ball into the far corner from a tight angle after being picked out by Michael Olise.

Raphaël Guerreiro, making his first start of the season, doubled Bayern’s lead six minutes later with a stunning shot into the net after exchanging a quick one-two with Nicolas Jackson.

Jackson himself got on the scoresheet around the half-hour mark, receiving another Olise pass, taking a touch, and finishing clinically. Kane added his second goal of the night, weaving through the defense before sliding the ball between the goalkeeper’s legs to make it 4-0.

Pafos briefly threatened Bayern’s clean sheet when Mislav Oršić scored a spectacular goal just before halftime, lashing a superb effort into the top corner.

Despite Pafos’ bright start to the second half, Bayern quickly regained control, with Michael Olise and Joshua Kimmich missing excellent opportunities to extend the lead. Olise later made amends in the 69th minute, firing into the roof of the net to seal a commanding 5-1 win.

Both Serge Gnabry and Nicolas Jackson had chances to add to the scoreline in the closing minutes but were denied by the woodwork.

The win extends Bayern’s winning streak to nine matches in all competitions. Bayern’s next challenge will be against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on October 4, 2025.
