Bayern Munich secured a comfortable 4-0 victory over Heidenheim, extending their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table.

Bayern Munich ended 2025 on a high note, beating Heidenheim 4-0 in their final Bundesliga match of the year. The visitors dominated the game, with Josip Stanisic scoring the opener in the 15th minute after Michael Olise’s corner was headed back across goal by Jonathan Tah.

Heidenheim tried to push for an equalizer, but Bayern’s defense held firm. The hosts’ best chance came when Luca Kerber couldn’t quite turn in Jonas Fohrenbach’s cross. Bayern’s second goal came in the 32nd minute, with Olise volleying in from close range after Diant Ramaj was beaten by his own defender.

Heidenheim brought on Stefan Schimmer, their top-scoring substitute, in the second half, and he had a header loop onto the crossbar. However, Bayern sealed the win with Luis Diaz’s header in the 86th minute and Harry Kane’s stoppage-time goal.

Kane’s goal was his 19th league goal of the season, and it extended Bayern’s record of scoring at least twice in 23 consecutive league matches. The win also means Bayern have made the joint-best ever 15-game start to a Bundesliga season.

Bayern’s victory puts them nine points clear at the top of the table, with Borussia Dortmund second. Heidenheim, on the other hand, remains in the automatic relegation spot, but they’re just three points away from safety.

The Bundesliga will resume on January 9, and Bayern will look to maintain their momentum. Heidenheim, meanwhile, will aim to bounce back from this defeat and move away from the relegation zone.
