Bayern Chief Confident Over Kane’s Future but Warns of Saudi Interest

Uli Hoeneß discusses Harry Kane’s future at Bayern Munich, hinting at a possible extension while acknowledging potential Saudi interest.

Uli Hoeneß has shared his thoughts on the future of Harry Kane, expressing optimism that the striker could extend his stay with Bayern Munich. The Bayern supervisory board member believes the England captain appears settled in Germany.

Hoeneß pointed out that Kane chose not to activate a release clause that would have allowed him to leave the club for a fixed fee this summer. That decision, he suggested, is a strong indication of the striker’s commitment to Bayern.

As it stands, Kane remains under contract until 2027. Hoeneß stressed that the current agreement already secures the forward’s services for the foreseeable future, offering stability to the club’s attacking plans.

He also noted that Kane and his family seem comfortable living in Munich. According to Hoeneß, this sense of stability off the pitch increases the likelihood of the striker considering an extension beyond his existing deal.

However, the Bayern figure acknowledged that football can change quickly, particularly with the financial power of clubs in Saudi Arabia. He warned that unexpected offers could still influence future decisions despite Kane’s current satisfaction.

Hoeneß reiterated that, from what he understands, Kane feels happy at the club and enjoys his environment. That comfort, he believes, plays a key role in maintaining long-term commitment. The former Bayern president also praised Kane’s professionalism. He highlighted the striker’s dedication to fitness, noting his consistent work with medical staff and physiotherapists to maintain peak condition.

Hoeneß concluded by suggesting that Kane could continue performing at the highest level for another three to four years. With his professionalism and comfort in Munich, Bayern remain hopeful that their star forward will stay beyond 2027.
