Bayer Leverkusen Place €8-15m Valuation Fee on Granit Xhaxa

Granit Xhaka’s future at Bayer Leverkusen hangs in the balance as Juventus considers signing the Swiss midfielder, with Leverkusen valuing him at €8-15 million.

Granit Xhaka’s future at Bayer Leverkusen is still uncertain, despite expressing happiness at the BayArena. The 32-year-old midfielder doesn’t want to experience a transition period at Die Werkself, citing significant losses of key players that have weakened the team’s chances of battling Bayern Munich for the Meisterschale.

AC Milan had been a potential destination for Xhaka, but they’ve now prioritised signing Real Madrid’s Luka Modrić, paving the way for other clubs to pursue the Swiss international.

Juventus has now shown interest in acquiring Xhaka, although their main targets are Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali and Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi, whose deals seem challenging to finalize.

As a result, Juventus might consider matching Bayer Leverkusen’s valuation of Xhaka, reportedly between €8-15 million. Leverkusen is reluctant to let Xhaka go, especially after losing key players like Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Jonathan Tah. However, they don’t want to stand in his way if he decides to leave.

New Leverkusen coach Erik ten Hag sees Xhaka as crucial in maintaining stability during the transitional summer. With his experience, leadership, and versatility, Xhaka could play a key role in the team. Other clubs like Galatasaray and Beşiktaş are also monitoring his situation.

Xhaka’s departure seems uncertain, with Leverkusen weighing their options. If Juventus makes a suitable offer, Leverkusen might consider letting him go. Xhaka’s contract runs until 2028, and his annual cost is reportedly around €13 million.
