Bayer Leverkusen, under Erik Ten Hag, is reportedly interested in signing Feyenoord star Igor Paixão, with the German club potentially facing competition from Premier League teams.
Bayer Leverkusen is targeting Feyenoord’s Igor Paixão as a potential signing under new manager Erik ten Hag.
Although no official offer has been made, Feyenoord is aware of the interest and is aiming for a new transfer record for the 24-year-old. Paixão has developed into a key player for Feyenoord, scoring 16 goals and providing 10 assists in the Eredivisie last season.
Paixão’s impressive performances have caught the attention of top clubs, and a move could easily break Feyenoord’s transfer record, which currently stands at €35 million for Santiago Giménez’s departure to AC Milan.
Feyenoord would likely push for €40-45 million for Paixão, given his current transfer value. Premier League teams are also showing interest in Paixão, adding to the competition for his signature.
With a contract until 2028, Paixão’s future is uncertain, but it’s unlikely he’ll stay at Feyenoord beyond this summer. Bayer Leverkusen’s interest in Paixão is part of their efforts to strengthen their squad under Ten Hag.
