Atalanta and AC Milan drew 1-1 in the Serie A as Ademola Lookman scored his first goal since the summer drama to equalize Samuele Ricci’s early strike for Milan.

Atalanta and AC Milan shared the points in a 1-1 draw, with Ademola Lookman scoring his first goal since his summer transfer drama. The Nigerian forward’s strike cancelled out Samuele Ricci’s early goal for Milan, who had taken the lead through a half-volley.

Ricci’s goal came after Honest Ahanor cleared a corner, and the midfielder let it bounce before hitting a powerful shot into the ground, deflecting off Ederson and wrong-footing Marco Carnesecchi. Milan’s lead was short-lived, as Lookman equalized with a stunning left-foot finish from a tricky angle.

Lookman’s goal was his first since his summer transfer rebellion, and it showcased his quality and movement. The forward ran onto Mario Pasalic’s through ball and took a touch before smashing the ball into the roof of the net.

Atalanta had chances to take the lead, with Ederson testing Mike Maignan from the edge of the box, and Ahanor missing a sitter.

Milan’s attacking options were limited, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek returning to the bench and Christian Pulisic, Adrien Rabiot, and Pervis Estupinan injured.

The draw extends Atalanta’s unbeaten streak to five games, although they’ve only won two of their last five matches. Milan, on the other hand, had dropped points again, having lost top spot with a 2-2 draw against Pisa.
