Aston Villa came from behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Aston Villa has pulled off a stunning comeback win against Tottenham Hotspur, coming from behind to win 2-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Rodrigo Bentancur had given Spurs the lead just five minutes in, but Aston Villa fought back to claim the victory.

Morgan Rogers brought Villa level with a thunderous strike from 20 yards in the 37th minute, silencing the home fans. The game was marked by injuries to key Spurs players, including captain Cristian Romero and Mathys Tel, who limped off with a knee issue.

In the 77th minute, substitute Emiliano Buendia struck the winner, a composed finish into the bottom corner after Lucas Digne’s clever setup.

Tottenham had chances to rescue a point late on, but debutant Randal Kolo Muani wasted a golden opportunity, skying his shot over the bar from close range in stoppage time.

The defeat is a significant blow to Spurs’ home form, with the team now losing 11 of their last 18 home league games.

The result also ends Spurs’ seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions, leaving them sixth on the table. For Unai Emery’s Villa, the win is a welcome boost, extending their winning streak to five games and their unbeaten streak to eight.

The victory is also a breakthrough for Villa, marking their first away win over a top-four side after collecting just one point from six such trips last season. The team is now building momentum, and the win will give them confidence heading into their next matches.
