Aston Villa has allowed Donyell Malen to travel to Italy for a medical with Roma, as the two clubs have reportedly reached a full agreement for the Dutch striker’s transfer.
Malen is set to join Roma on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy. The loan fee is around €2.3m for six months, while the obligation to buy is set at €28.8m. This deal is moving forward quickly, with Malen expected to fly to Italy today.
The 26-year-old has scored seven goals and provided two assists in 29 appearances across all competitions this season for Aston Villa. Roma is looking to bolster their attack, and Malen’s skills could be a great fit.
Roma has been active in the transfer market, securing the deal for Olympique Marseille talent Robinio Vaz, who is currently undergoing medical tests. This move comes after they missed out on Giacomo Raspadori, who opted for Atalanta.
The deal is expected to be finalized soon, with Malen likely to become a key player for Roma.
