Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta expressed disappointment after his team drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest, despite having several clear-cut chances to score.
The Gunners’ lead at the top of the Premier League table has increased to seven points, but Arteta was unhappy with their lack of cutting edge.

“We came here to win the game, and again, we haven’t managed to do that,” Arteta said. “When you have the four big chances that we have… at the end, you have to find the margin to win the game.” Arsenal had several chances, including an open goal for Gabriel Martinelli, but couldn’t find the back of the net.
Arteta praised Forest’s organization, saying they were “very well-organised” and disrupted Arsenal’s momentum. Forest manager Sean Dyche was delighted with his team’s performance, saying they were “realistic about where we are now.”
The draw was a missed opportunity for Arsenal to extend their lead at the top of the table. Manchester City’s defeat to Manchester United earlier in the day had given them the chance to open up a nine-point gap, but they couldn’t capitalize.
A late penalty appeal was rejected by the VAR, with Forest’s Ola Aina avoiding a foul. Arteta acknowledged that Arsenal needed to produce that decisive moment, saying, “You have to produce that moment.”
Forest are 17th in the standings, five points clear of the relegation zone. Dyche was pleased with their progress, saying, “There’s a lot of good work done now, and a lot of good work out there today.”
