Arsenal equalled the English top-flight record with five consecutive clean sheets, keeping 10 clean sheets in 13 games.

Arsenal have had a remarkable start to the season, equalling the English top-flight record for consecutive clean sheets. Their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday marked their fifth consecutive clean sheet, with no goals conceded against Atletico Madrid, Fulham, West Ham United, and Olympiacos in recent fixtures.

The last time Arsenal conceded a goal was against Newcastle United in September, with Nick Woltemade scoring a 34th-minute header. Since then, they’ve kept a clean sheet in every match.

Arsenal’s 10 clean sheets in 13 games are the joint-fastest an English top-flight team has ever reached double figures for clean sheets in a single season. They share this record with Leeds United, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Spurs.

Despite their impressive defensive record, Arsenal aren’t the Premier League’s top attacking side. Manchester City and Chelsea have more goals, but no team comes close to Arsenal’s three goals conceded. This defensive solidity has helped them stay four points clear at the top of the league.

David Raya, Arsenal’s goalkeeper, is only one clean sheet ahead of Newcastle’s Nick Pope in the Golden Glove race so far. Raya’s performances have been crucial to Arsenal’s success, and he’ll be looking to maintain his form.

The Gunners’ clean sheets have come in various competitions, with three in the Premier League and four in the Champions League and League Cup. Their next challenge is to maintain their momentum and keep their title hopes alive.

Arsenal’s record-breaking start to the season is a testament to their strength and determination. With their defense looking stronger than ever, they’ll be looking to continue their winning streak and stay top of the league.
