Arsenal vs Chelsea: Team News, Predicted XI

Off the back of a 4-1 win in the London Derby against Tottenham, Arsenal face fellow London rivals Chelsea as the Premier League enters its final phase.

Arsenal have been subject to a lot of scrutiny, having dropped points against Wolves and Brentford. These dropped points allowed Manchester City to close the gap in the Premier League title race to two points.

Arsenal bounced back from the criticisms to beat London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 4-1, just like they did in the reverse fixture. The win has helped Arsenal extend their lead to five points, although they have played a game more than fellow title contenders Manchester City.

Regardless of the fact that they have played a game more, Arsenal cannot afford to drop points against Chelsea. Arsenal have had the better of Chelsea in their last 16 games, winning 10 and avoiding a loss against the Blues, and Arteta will hope this record remains the same when they face Chelsea tomorrow.

Chelsea are still reeling from back-to-back draws against Leeds United and Burnley, but they will need to get their acts together to avoid falling off the race for top 4 and eventually missing out on a place in the UCL next season.

Chelsea have dropped the most points from winning positions in the Premier League, something Rosenior is frustrated about and hopes will change very soon. Against Arsenal, there is no place for complacency and this Chelsea team knows it.

Team News

Arsenal are still expected to be without Kai Havertz and Ben White, while for Chelsea, it’s mixed news.

The Blues will be without Brazilian starlet Estevao and Spanish defender Marc Cucurella who are both dealing with hamstring injuries. Wesley Fofana will also miss the game through a red card suspension. In terms of good news, Essugo and Lavia are back in training but it is uncertain if they will make the starting XI

Arsenal vs Chelsea Predicted XI

Chelsea Predicted XI

Score Prediction

When both sides met earlier in the Premier League, they played a 1-1 draw despite Chelsea having a red card. Arsenal have gone on to beat Chelsea twice in the League Cup but it doesn’t change the atmosphere of this game.

We foresee a 1-1 draw.
