After thrashing Leeds in the Premier League to give themselves some space in the title race, Arsenal will host Chelsea in the return leg of the EFL Cup semifinal. Arsenal won the reverse fixture 3-2, and they would be looking to close out this game and get to the finals at the Blues ‘ detriment.

Arsenal will be without Mikel Merino as the midfielder underwent foot surgery after the win against Leeds. Saka was also injured in the warm-up for the Leeds game, and he’s expected to miss the Chelsea game.
Chelsea will be coming into the game confident, especially after completing two comebacks in less than one week. Last week Tuesday, the Blues lost a 1-0 lead and had to come from behind to win 3-2 against Napoli and seal a place in the UCL last 16. On Saturday, the Blues overcame a 2-0 deficit to beat West Ham.

Chelsea would be without Brazilian winger Estevao, who travelled to Brazil for personal reasons. Liam Rosenior will be hoping his side can give Arsenal a run for their money and seal a place in the EFL Cup final, which would be a historic achievement for him.
