Arsenal are reportedly preparing for the departure of midfielder Thomas Partey at the end of the current season. The Ghanaian international’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and the club has shown no indication of offering an extension.

Consequently, Arsenal are actively seeking a replacement, with Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi emerging as a primary target.

Partey, who joined the Gunners from Atlético Madrid in 2020, has been a consistent presence in the squad, making 46 appearances across all competitions this season.

His versatility has seen him deployed both in midfield and at right-back. Despite his contributions, the club appears ready to move in a new direction.

Interest in Partey is reportedly high, with clubs from the Premier League, Serie A, and the Saudi Pro League expressing interest. A move to Saudi Arabia seems plausible, as his representatives are said to be in discussions with clubs in the region.

Zubimendi, known for his composure and tactical awareness, is seen as an ideal fit for Mikel Arteta’s system. The Spanish midfielder has a €60 million release clause, which Arsenal are reportedly willing to meet.
