Arsenal achieved a historic feat in October, winning six games without conceding a goal, a first in English top-flight history.

Arsenal has made history with their 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup, achieving a feat that no other team in English top-flight history has done before. The Gunners, managed by Mikel Arteta, have won six games in October without conceding a goal.

The win over Brighton was a show of Arsenal’s incredible squad, with Arteta making 10 changes to his side, including starting four teenagers. The team, led by young players like Max Dowman, Andre Harriman-Annous, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis-Skelly, performed admirably, with goals from Nwaneri and Bukayo Saka securing the win.

Arsenal’s start to the season has been fantastic, with the Gunners topping the Premier League table and winning every game in the Champions League and Carabao Cup. October has been their most productive month, with six wins and six clean sheets in three different competitions.

Before their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend, the Gunners hadn’t conceded a shot on target in October. With these performances, especially a strong display defensively, Arsenal have just conceded three goals in their last 11 games. 

Right now, it’s impossible to put the Premier League title past the Gunners, and this does feel like the season where they win it.
