Arsenal maintain their 100% record in the UEFA Champions League, beating Inter Milan to make it seven wins from seven games.

Arsenal have now booked their place in the last 16 after seeing off Inter Milan in the San Siro. Arsenal were off to a flying start as they tested Yan Sommer within one minute of play.

The Gunners came out for business, and Inter didn’t get breathing space right from the start. Arsenal opened the scoring through Gabriel Jesus, who touched Timber’s pass past Sommer.

Inter responded at the other end with a banger from Sucic. Thuram, who troubled the Arsenal defence all game, ran at Saliba, failed to get space for his shot, but the loose ball sat kindly for Sucic, who placed it out of Raya’s reach in the top corner.

Inter had a chance to take the lead, but Sucic delayed his pass to Thuram, who lashed the ball over the bar.

A few minutes later, Arsenal made the pay as Gabriel Jesus headed home from a corner to make it 2-1 just before halftime.

Inter kept pressing, and they had chances to level the game; however, they failed to convert. Luis Enrique, who had one of their best chances in the second half, failed to even get his shot on target. Thuram and Esposito came close, but they didn’t do enough to beat Raya in goal.

Arsenal, who had moments of dominance in the second half, almost made it 3-1, but Eze’s shot was straight at Sommer. However, in the dying minutes of the game, substitute Gyokeres scored a sublime goal to seal the game in Arsenal’s favour.

Arsenal have now won seven consecutive UCL games for the first time in their history and have now secured an automatic spot in the knockout phase as they push for Champions League Glory.
