Arsenal secures a hard-fought 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage, with Leandro Trossard scoring the decisive goal from a Bukayo Saka corner.
Arsenal has secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage, thanks to Leandro Trossard’s second-half goal.
The Belgian forward converted from close range after Gabriel flicked on Bukayo Saka’s corner, marking Arsenal’s 10th different scorer in the Premier League this season.
The first half was relatively quiet, with little goalmouth action, but Fulham had a few close calls. Raul Jimenez broke forward and had a low shot deflected just wide, while Tom Cairney’s piledriver was blocked by Martin Zubimendi.
Arsenal had a goal ruled out for offside, with Riccardo’s first-time rocket from Leandro Trossard’s flick on being disallowed.
The second half saw more action, with Trossard wasting a good chance before the breakthrough came. Saka’s devilish inswinging corner was flicked on by Gabriel, and Trossard scored from close range. The goal was Arsenal’s 37th from a corner in the Premier League since the start of the 2023/24 season.
Fulham pushed for an equalizer, but Arsenal’s defense held firm, with William Saliba and Gabriel making crucial interventions. The win keeps Arsenal top of the Premier League table, and they return home with three hard-earned points.
