Arsenal extended its lead at the top of the Premier League table with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Brighton.
Arsenal were made to work hard for the win, with Brighton enjoying plenty of possession and creating chances.
However, Saka’s strike from the edge of the area proved to be the difference-maker, squeezing past Brighton’s goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.
Brighton had a golden opportunity to equalize when Carlos Baleba’s chip was headed off the line by Gabriel. The Seagulls continued to push, but Arsenal’s defence held firm, with David Raya making crucial saves to keep the clean sheet.
The win takes Arsenal’s unbeaten run in Premier League games kicking off at 7pm or later to 20 matches. With Manchester City drawing 2-2 at home to Nottingham Forest, Arsenal’s lead at the top is now seven points.

Mikel Arteta’s men were far from their best, but they managed to grind out the win. Brighton’s Fabian Hurzeler was unhappy with referee Chris Kavanagh’s decision not to award a penalty when Gabriel Martinelli appeared to foul Mats Wieffer in the box.
The result leaves Brighton’s campaign heading towards mid-table obscurity, while Arsenal inches closer to securing the Premier League title.
It will be their first title in over 20 years for the Gunners, and they will be looking to wrap it up soon.
