Arsenal is close to signing Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera, with the 21-year-old agreeing to personal terms with the Premier League club.

Arsenal is nearing a deal to sign Cristhian Mosquera, the talented young defender from Valencia.

The 21-year-old has agreed to personal terms with the Premier League club, and a move is getting closer. Mosquera is a versatile defender who can play at both centre-back and right-back, making him a valuable addition to Arsenal’s squad.

The Gunners have been looking to add a young defender to their squad to compete with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.

Mosquera’s signing would fill the gap left by the departure of Takehiro Tomiyasu, who mutually agreed to terminate his contract. With 90 appearances for Valencia, Mosquera has already gained significant experience at a young age.

Mosquera has been a regular for Valencia, playing the full match in 37 of the club’s 38 La Liga games last season.

His consistency and defensive skills have caught the attention of several top clubs, but Arsenal seems to be the frontrunner in the race to sign him. The Spain Under-21 international would be a valuable asset for Arsenal, providing depth and competition in the defense.

Arsenal has been busy during this transfer window, signing Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, Christian Norgaard from Brentford, and Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea.

The Gunners are also close to completing a deal with Sporting for striker Viktor Gyokeres, with a potential agreement worth £63.5m. If the deal goes through, Mosquera would be a significant addition to Arsenal’s squad.
