Arsenal have reportedly escalated their interest in Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. The Gunners expect to secure his services in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old Cameroon international has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, following a standout season with the Bees.

Mbeumo has been instrumental for Brentford this season, netting 18 goals and providing six assists in the Premier League. His performances have drawn attention to him as a key target for the big clubs seeking to bolster their attacking options.

It is understood that Brentford will be willing to entertain offers in the region of £55 million for the forward, whose contract extends until 2026 with an option for an additional year.

People close to the matter say that Arsenal are keen on enhancing their squad depth, particularly on the right wing as cover for Bukayo Saka. The England winger’s long-term injury this season is considered by many in the club as one of the major reasons why they lost this season’s Premier League title to Liverpool.

However, Mbeumo’s versatility means that he can still operate across various attacking positions for Mikel Arteta’s side, similar to the position that Raheem Sterling had been expected to play at the club.

Meanwhile, Arsenal can expect to face stiff competition for their man, with sources reporting that Liverpool and other Premier League rivals are monitoring the situation closely, ahead of the summer transfer window.
