If any team is going to win the Champions League, they’ll have to go through Arsenal. They are the team to beat.

Arsenal are unbelievably good and today, they proved their class in the 3-1 thumping of Bayern Munich.

The game didn’t feel balanced from the start. Arsenal always had the edge and it took the Gunners 22 minutes to break the deadlock and get the party started. Quite unsurprisingly, Arsenal took the lead from a well-worked corner which Jurrien Timber headed into goal.

10 minutes later, Bayern Munich drew level. A searching pass from Kimmich, cut through Arsenal’s defence, finding the run of Gnabry who put it on a plate for Karl to make it 1-1. The goal was a thing of beauty and interestingly, the first goal Arsenal have conceded in the UCL this season.

Bayern Munich could’ve taken the lead just before halftime but Stanisic’s shot from the counter was well wide.

In the second half, Arsenal brought the heat and they kept piling the pressure on Bayern till the Bavarians gave in.

With his first involvement in the game, Calafiori made a sublime cross which found Madueke in the box. The English winger who was also a substitute tapped it into an almost empty net to give Arsenal the lead.

Arsenal added another through Martinelli to seal the win. Having just come on, Martinelli brought down a pinpoint pass from Eze, ran past Neuer who was in no man’s land and rolled the ball home to make it 3-1, making it his 4th goal in 4 UCL starts for Arsenal

Bayern just couldn’t cope. They were battered by a dominant Arsenal side who handed them their first loss since the start of the 2025/26 season.

Arsenal have made a gigantic statement in the UCL and ahead of their game against Chelsea, that they might just be unstoppable.
