Ange Postecoglou, former Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest boss, expresses his desire to return to football, saying “I’m not done yet.”

Ange Postecoglou, the Australian football manager, has expressed his eagerness to return to the sport, stating “I’m not done yet” in an interview with an Australian radio station. The 60-year-old has been out of work since October, following his dismissal as Nottingham Forest boss after just 40 days in charge.

Postecoglou’s recent experiences have fueled his determination to succeed. He led Tottenham Hotspur to their first major trophy in 17 years, winning the Europa League in 2025, but was sacked two weeks later due to poor league form.

The former Celtic manager has been watching his previous clubs, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest, struggle in the Premier League. He admitted it was “uncomfortable” watching them battle relegation, but remains optimistic about his own future.

Postecoglou is open to new opportunities, stating “I’ve got an idea” about his next move. He’s looking for a team with ambition and a willingness to play his style of football. Despite scepticism from others, Postecoglou believes his best work is still ahead of him. “Wherever I go, there will be plenty of scepticism – that’s brilliant, that’s what I need,” he said.

The Australian manager has learned from his recent experiences and is confident that his next move will be his best one yet. “I know whatever it is going to be, I have this thing in my head that this will be the best one I’ve done yet,” he added.
