AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri confirms Christian Pulisic’s hamstring injury will probably keep him out of Saturday’s Serie A clash with Lazio.
Massimiliano Allegri addressed the press ahead of Milan’s Serie A showdown with Lazio, warning that star winger Christian Pulisic is “likely to be unavailable” for the fixture.
The American international had just returned from a hamstring injury sustained on USMNT duty in October.
Pulisic made a brief substitute appearance against Parma before the international break and then started against Inter, netting the decisive goal in the second half. His performances this season have been crucial, registering goals and two assists in ten games across all competitions.
Allegri added a glimmer of hope: “Pulisic will hardly be available for the match, but anything can happen tomorrow and the day after.” He confirmed the rest of the squad is in good shape, noting that Saelemaekers is fit and Gimenez should start re‑integrating next week.
Milan sit second in the Serie A table with 25 points, level with Napoli and just two points behind leaders Roma. Losing Pulisic’s goal‑scoring threat could tip the balance in a tight race for the top.
