Spanish club will compete with the Premier League’s top clubs for the 22-year-old’s signature
Real Madrid are monitoring Adam Wharton, but a potential move for the Crystal Palace midfielder could be complicated.
Wharton has attracted strong interest across Europe after his performances in the Premier League, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool also tracking his situation.
The 22-year-old is reportedly open to leaving Crystal Palace in the summer, but the club are reluctant to sell and have placed a valuation of around €100m on him. The figure is significantly higher than what Madrid would expect to pay for a developing midfielder.
The Spanish club are understood to be hoping the price could drop if the player pushes for a move, although Palace are under no pressure to negotiate.
Wharton is a product of Blackburn Rovers’ academy. He joined Palace in 2024 for around €21m and has since established himself as a key player and one of the most talented midfielders in the Premier League. His rise has also been reflected at international level, earning caps for England under Thomas Tuchel.
