AC Milan suffered a damaging 3-0 home loss to Udinese, denting their Serie A title hopes and raising concerns over their top-four ambitions.

AC Milan saw their Serie A title ambitions all but disappear after a crushing 3-0 defeat to Udinese at the San Siro. The result marked Milan’s first run of consecutive league losses since March 2025 and dealt a major blow to their season.

Under Massimiliano Allegri, Milan had already seen their Scudetto hopes slip in recent weeks, shifting their focus toward securing a top-four finish and UEFA Champions League qualification. However, this performance raised fresh concerns about their ability to even hold onto that objective.

The hosts started brightly but struggled to create clear chances in the opening stages. Rafael Leão came closest early on, firing a long-range effort over the bar as Milan dominated possession without real cutting edge.

Udinese, meanwhile, posed a constant threat on the counter-attack and broke the deadlock in the 27th minute. Nicolò Zaniolo drove forward before setting up Arthur Atta, whose strike deflected off Davide Bartesaghi and beat Mike Maignan.

Milan attempted to respond quickly, with Christian Pulisic going close after cutting inside and unleashing a powerful effort that narrowly missed the target. Despite their efforts, they were unable to find an equaliser. Instead, Udinese doubled their lead before halftime. Zaniolo was again involved, delivering a dangerous cross that Jurgen Ekkelenkamp met with a superb header, leaving Maignan with no chance and stunning the home crowd.

After the break, Milan showed renewed urgency. Luka Modrić tested goalkeeper Maduka Okoye twice, while Alexis Saelemaekers saw a fierce strike tipped onto the bar in what was Milan’s best spell of the match.

However, Udinese sealed the victory with ruthless efficiency as Atta grabbed his goal with a clinical finish to make it 3-0. The result leaves Milan with four defeats in their last seven league matches, ending any realistic title challenge and raising fears of a late struggle to secure Champions League football, while Udinese climb to 10th after an impressive performance.
