AC Milan is gearing up for a new season with significant changes to their squad. The expected departure of captain Theo Hernandez to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal has prompted the club to re-evaluate their priorities. Head coach Massimiliano Allegri is focusing on signing a centre-forward to strengthen the team’s attack.

Milan’s primary target is Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus. Although the Serbian striker has been on the club’s radar since January, no concrete negotiations have taken place yet. Juventus is reportedly waiting for other clubs to enter the race, which could drive up the price tag for Vlahovic.

The club is also exploring more affordable alternatives, including players currently struggling for game time at other European heavyweights. Reports suggest that Allegri’s attacking concerns could be addressed by signing players like Darwin Nunez of Liverpool, Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea, or Goncalo Ramos of Paris Saint-Germain.

Ramos is viewed as a potentially valuable opportunity for Milan. However, Vlahovic remains the club’s top choice. Milan is believed to have already received the player’s approval for the move, and Juventus’ need for liquidity could accelerate negotiations.

The potential deal for Vlahovic is complex, with a reported €25m price tag and high wages in Turin. Milan may be open to including a player in the operation to facilitate progress. The club has reportedly considered offering Malick Thiaw instead of Strahinja Pavlovic, who is appreciated by Juventus head coach Igor Tudor.

Milan’s cautious stance in the transfer market is driven by their absence from European competition in the 2025-26 campaign. The club is not willing to overspend and is carefully evaluating its options. With the transfer window entering its final stretch, Milan will need to act quickly to secure their target.

The club’s priority is to finalize a deal for Vlahovic or an alternative centre-forward. The success of the transfer will depend on various factors, including Juventus’ willingness to sell and Milan’s ability to negotiate a favorable deal.
