AC Milan are negotiating with Manchester United over a potential deal for striker Rasmus Hojlund, with the structure of the agreement still being discussed.

AC Milan have initiated talks with Manchester United regarding a potential transfer for striker Rasmus Hojlund. The negotiations are ongoing, with the two clubs discussing the structure of the agreement. Manchester United is reportedly favoring a permanent deal, valuing Hojlund at around £40 million.

In contrast, AC Milan is pushing for a loan deal with an option to buy.

The arrival of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig for £73.7 million has likely limited Hojlund’s game time prospects at Manchester United.

Sesko’s signing has prompted the club to consider offloading Hojlund, who was an unused substitute in United’s pre-season friendly against Fiorentina. Head coach Ruben Amorim opted to play Mason Mount as a false No 9 instead, hinting that Hojlund’s role in the team is uncertain.

Hojlund wants to stay and fight for his place at Manchester United, but it’s clear that he’s joined the list of players the club wants to sell, including Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia. Despite his desire to stay, the likelihood of him leaving seems high, given the club’s intentions.

AC Milan’s interest in Hojlund is driven by their need for a striker. According to reports, the Italian club is willing to cover Hojlund’s £110,000-per-week wages and has offered a loan deal with a buy option. The proposed deal includes a €6 million loan fee and a €45 million buy option.
